Ophthalmology is a medical specialty dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the eye.

The Department of Ophthalmology at KJSH brings to you some of the most experienced Ophthalmologists who consistently provide quality eye care at affordable costs. The department is equipped with most of the latest diagnostic and surgical facilities to deliver comprehensive eye care from simple routine eye examinations to the most complex cases in the sub speciality fields of retina,uvea ,cornea, glaucoma, squint and pediatric ophthalmology and oculoplasty.

“We support and encourage the practice for eye donation at our institute along with charitable (operative & diagnostic) camps conducted in association with lions club and other private sponsors.We are associated with the EYE BANK COORDINATION AND RESEARCH CENTRE (EBCRC) with a commitment to give sight to those who suffer from corneal blindness.”

Teaching Activity

Ophthalmology department conducts various clinical activities, CMEs, undergraduate and PG (DNB) training programs, workshops, conferences. Our students and staff actively participate in research projects, publications, conference and paper presentations. Extra curricular activities like radio talks ,camps awareness programs are also carried out by the department on a regular basis to spread awareness.

Hospital Services

Our faculty is dedicated to providing excellent patient care across the complete spectrum of medical and surgical problems involving the cornea, lens, ocular surface, and other structures involving the anterior segment of the eye (ciliary body, choroid, iris).the specialists are trained to deal with the simplest of cases to the more complex ones, as we often receive referrals from other eye care centers.

Our OPD is well equipped with state of the art latest equipments required for comprehensive eye examinations.
