Teaching Activity

Training in General Medicine is the back bone of medical education. The department conducts teaching activities for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Teaching of the subject has classically been bedside. Bedside clinics , specialised presentations, seminars and lectures are well planned and executed for benefit of the students. Fully Equipped and Department Dedicated skills lab provides hands on training to students to tackle medical emergencies. Training and teaching in the subject aims to impart specialised skills in managing patients with undifferentiated or multisystem disease processes. Training and encouraging young minds to conduct research is also an utmost priority of the Department.

Hospital Services

Department of Medicine provides broad speciality services for patient care. A multitude of outdoor and indoor healthcare facilities are provided by the Department. Running of General OPDs as well as Operating Specialised OPDs forms a key aspect of day to day healthcare services. Facilties for Vaccination of Adult patients is also available in the General OPD. Managing critical patients with multisystem illnesses in ICU is true character of the Subject. Conducting Disease Awareness camps and Preventing disease occurance are also important activity of the Department.
