Physiology is the branch of medicine that deals with study of body functions, their mechanism and regulations in all living organism. The knowledge of physiology forms the backbone for a clinician to diagnose and manage patients. It deals with experiments and research work which has given a great contribution to medical field.
The department has experienced faculty which teaches the theoretical and practical aspects of subject to undergraduate students (MBBS) and postgraduate students.
The teaching learning methods for knowledge domain includes interactive lectures, integrated teaching,early clinical exposure,AETCOM Module,small group teaching,self directed learning.
Skills and attitudinal domain is taught by demonstration ,practical,role play etc
The department also play an important role in conducting elective for third year MBBS students which includes neurophysiology studies.
