Clinical work related to anaesthesia in the operation theatres, like providing anaesthesia to all specialty and superspecialty surgical operations, peri and post-operative management of patients.
Anesthesia - out-of-operation-room (Radiological procedures like MRI, CT scan and endoscopies).
Learning of various anaesthesia techniques like general anaesthesia , regional anaesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks (USG guided).
Learning post-operative pain management.
Clinical work and management of patients in ICU and critical care.
Pre-anaesthesia checkup (PAC) and OPD including pain OPD.
The primary teaching- learning method employed are lectures,seminars, case presentations, journal reading, small group
discussion (SGD), self - directed learning (SDL).
CPR workshops and Skill Lab related activities.
Emergency on-call services 24X7.
Paper and poster presentations in state/national conferences

Course content is delivered by expert and committed full-time faculty which is in full strength as per NMC norms.
Good exposure to all broad and superspeciality aspects of Anesthesia Adequate infrastructure Facilities – (lecture halls, library and hostel) ensure student comfort and smooth delivery of course content.
A fully equipped skill lab to practice skills and hands on.
Adequate Clinical material at K J Somaiya charitable hospital with a good number (indoor/outdoor)of patients ensures adequate exposure and experience.

A MD (Anaesthesiology) Post graduate can opt for fellowships in pain management, Cardiac, neuro, regional, paediatric, oncology, transplant anaesthesia, Intensive and Critical care management, EMS and Trauma care.
Can start private practice / full time Institutional Practice.
