During routine dissection in the Department of Anatomy, Variant Formation of median nerve by three lateral roots was observed on the left side of a 34 year old male cadaver. The finding was noted after thorough and meticulous dissection of the upper limbs of both sides. The variation was unilateral and there was no associated musculovascular variation. The photographs of the variations were taken for proper documentation. The presence of such type of variations is clinically important for surgeons, orthopaedicians and anaesthetist performing pain management therapies on the upper limb.
