The ownership of the K J Somaiya Medical College Hospital and Research Center rests with the K J Somaiya Medical Trust. The trust was founded in 1991 and is currently guided by the dynamic leadership of its Chairperson Shri Samir Somaiya. In pursuit of the dream of the founder to provide quality education across multiple educational streams the trust has also established the K J Somaiya College of Physiotherapy and the K J Somaiya School and College of Nursing which along with the medical college have also grown to become institutes of excellent reputation offering a multitude of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
