The Department of Anatomy of K. J. Somaiya Medical College, runs a successful voluntary body donation program in the community and accepts voluntarily donated cadavers under the Bombay Anatomy Act of 1949. It receives around 8-10 cadavers per year. As a result there are enough cadavers for training of postgraduate students as well as for conducting workshops in the department
