The primary teaching-learning methods employed are dedicated lectures, tutorials, case presentation with hands-on practical sessions
Training to recognise the health needs of infant children and Adolescents and diagnosis of different health conditions and diseases.
Competency gaining in the subject of Pediatrics for practicing at community level and at different level of Health system.
Acquire skills in effective communication with the child (Patients), family and community.
Awareness of contemporary advances in medical sciences in the field of Pediatrics
Assisting and performing procedures like IV insertion, Central Line insertion, Lumbar puncture, Bone Marrow aspiration & Biopsy, Liver Biopsy, Kidney Biopsy, Hemodialysis etc under supervision and guidance of qualified professionals.
Handling emergency Pediatric patients
Presenting seminars,case based learning,journal presentations,indoor patient rounds
Paper and poster presentations in state/national conferences
Research projects

The program is conducted at the K J Somaiya Medical College which is the only private medical college in the city of Mumbai
